April 12 Substitute
All through school teachers ask you, "Who is your favorite author?"
Most of you shrug your shoulders and say, "I don't know."
Today you will pick from the authors below and listen to some of their books read aloud.
You will pick the author whose writing you enjoyed the most and create a Google Slide Presentation
about that author.
Answer all of these questions in your presentation:
Who are they?
Where are they from?
What books did they write?
What inspired them to write?
Are they still living?

You will now create a mini-book for our Second Grade Lion Buddies.
The teacher has your mini-books ready to go for you.
The Front Cover:
The title of your book should be about Matter. The front cover will be illustrated and have your name on it as well.

You need 6 pages of information about matter. You need to include the following:
The definition of matter
The Three States of matter
The definitions of mass, weight and volume
At least 4 illustrations

Must be neat
Must be complete
Must be correct

Writing about History
Writing About History
You will write a paper about your topic. It can be a simple, three paragraph paper with an introduction, main paragraph, and a conclusion.
You will take organized notes. You will be required to use one page for each separate website or resource that you use for research.
You will use your notes to write a coherent, legible paper in a Google Document. It must align with our rubric that can be found HERE.
You then create a presentation in Google Slides that is at least 10 slides, includes 5 pictures, and your presentation should follow the expectations in the rubric, shown below:
