How Can My Student Improve Their Math Grade?

Extra Credit

Every lesson (We have had 18 so far) there is a page in their workbook for a family activity. They are allowed to complete this activity with any adult, and they have to return the sheet the Friday after we take the test.

I will give a simple 1-5 question worksheet about a prior skill for practice. These are to be returned the following day.

Regular Assignments

Ask your child how they did with their i-ready participation this week? Every week they get a grade based on their online lessons for the week before.

Homework: The students *usually* have math homework. This is usually due on Fridays, and it counts towards their grade.

Participation: Your child is given a participation grade twice a week. If the child interacts positively with their partners, participates in discussion, and follows classroom expectations, they get an A.

Classwork: They will often be asked to do 1-3 problems in class over the skill that we are teaching. These grades are entered as classwork.

Quick Quiz: Your child will be given a one question quick quiz over the current skill. If they get it correct, they get an A, if they miss it, they get a C.

Tests: Every lesson ends with a test, this is entered as a test grade.
